BURLESQUE DROP-INS

BURLESQUE BASICS
Instructor: Golden Mystique
Sundays, 3:00 PM-4:00 PM

Learn Burlesque Basics with the critically celebrated and award-winning teachers of The Atlanta School of Burlesque! Take a tour of the burlesque studio and learn about Burlesque Legends, The Burlesque Hall of Fame, and some notable points in Burlesque history. Then, move into the classroom where our instructors will review fundamental Burlesque movement and walks which culminate in a short routine. No experience required and all bodies and skill levels are welcome!

  • Dance/character shoes or strapped toe shoes with a 2-3 inch heel.

MANIFESTATION THROUGH MOVEMENT

Mondays, 7:00 - 8:00pm

This class is designed to connect the mind, body and soul. Bring in and create good energy, set your intentions, visualize what you want to manifest for yourself and let go of any negativity you have pent up. Learn slow and sultry burlesque with a twist on classic choreography. This class specifically will teach you the fundamentals of burlesque and have you leaving class loving your body and ready to show off your new moves and take on whatever life throws at you. This class is great for self care and is a positive motivator..

SYNERGETIC FLOW

Sundays, 1:30 - 2:30pm

Ready to learn a fun and exhilarating way to dance? 
Synergetic Flow focuses on using the chair as a prop as you learn sensual movements that show off your best assets in and around the chair. Learning to connect and flow with every movement. Boost your confidence in this high energy hour of chair dancing. This class starts with a warm up focusing on flexibility and some stability work with core strength.

Our approach makes Liquid Motion® accessible to the masses – we don’t just “roll around on the floor.”  Liquid Motion classes will challenge you both physically and mentally in ways traditional floor work and sensual movement classes never have. The end result is breathtaking and life changing. Liquid Motion is recognized around the world for its seamless, organic and hypnotic quality of movement. 
 

Our Liquid Motion instructor will use dance theory, natural organic movement  and the Liquid Motion techniques and fundamentals to build a proper foundation for floor work. Students will be led through a 15-20 min full body warm up involving cardiovascular work, full body conditioning, and mobility exercises. The bulk of the class will take you through intricate floor flows and across the floor drills. The class will end with time for each student to explore their new found skills, and then a proper cool down and recovery to close out the Liquid Motion experience.

Liquid Motion is an all inclusive, gender-neutral class that is designed for everyone! Our Liquid Motion instructors are trained to be able to quickly modify any move or skill to be more challenging or easier depending on student needs. 
 

WHAT TO BRING

  • Kneepads

  • Layers! Arms and legs should be covered, but you should wear something underneath so clothing can be removed as needed for movement

  • Socks are recommended

  • Pen & notepad to take notes

  • An open heart and an open mind

Sexify is a one-of-a-kind dance experience in an affirming and welcoming environment! Learn dance movements that will add hot tricks to your roster of moves. Dance with fun people to create a collective experience and gather support for your journey through your body. A journey that embodies the true essence of who you are.

 

Fitness components make this an ultimate workout that will leave you feeling worked, empowered,

and in tune with your flow. You will want to push yourself out of your comfort zone - and you'll look hot doing it!

Our Sexify certified instructors teach real-life sensual movements that can make you feel more confident, powerful and expressive. We understand how all bodies are different and hold space for that. We believe that all bodies are good bodies. This class is typically done to one song, so you can get the choreography and musicality. Open to all levels, no experience required.

  • Geared towards individuals with no dance experience.

  • You don't need any particular strengths, rhythm, or to be in good shape to get started.

  • Sensual dance fitness brings an awareness of your body and improved coordination.

  • This is an LGBTQ+ affirming fitness class that is for people of marginalized genders including women, non-binary folks and trans men.

  • There is always a possibility of adult themes and language usage in this class.

  • We welcome people from all walks of life. You'll meet uniquely supportive babes as you dance, strengthen, and stretch your way through the class.

  • Students tell us they are never bored in this class and that you won't feel like you're working out - until you wake up the next morning.

SEXIFYâ„¢ SIGNATURE

In Sexify Signature sensual movement class, you will feel enlightened and empowered, leaving class feeling more in tune with your innate flow.

Class includes sensual movement and fitness components for an ultimate workout!

STRETCHING, STRENGTHING, & CONDITIONING DROP-INS

We believe that movement is for every body type, and we focus on your personal goals. Our aim is to be inclusive and give you a personal experience within a small group setting.

We strive to cultivate an environment that is supportive, without judgment, where everyone feels good about the body they're in.

BEGINNER CONTEMPORARY BALLET

Mondays, 12:00 - 1:oopm**

This class is a perfect introduction to ballet in a non-competitive and fun environment. It is a great way to continue to refine technique for those who may have taken classes before. Exercises are aimed at conditioning the body for dance and focus on proper alignment, core strength, leg strength, balance, and flexibility.

**Must preregister, if this class does not have enrollments by 11:00am, 1 hour prior to class, it will be canceled.

SENSUAL YOGA
Instructor: Talloolah Love
Tuesdays, 7:30 - 8:30pm

This yoga class practices a deep and abiding acceptance of your body, mind, and spirit. You will utilize alignment-based, all levels yoga, combined with positive affirmations and respect to your anatomy to pull yourself into a stronger, more sensual sense of self!

  • Yoga Strap (we have them if you don't mind shared props)

  • 2 Yoga Blocks (we have them if you don't mind shared props)

STRETCH, STRENGTHEN, FLEX
Instructor: Zara Estelle
Thursdays, 12:00pm - 1:00pm**

This class is designed to help enhance your overall performance and provide a deeper understanding of your body's connectivity. In this class you will work on engaging your core, stretching your muscles and introducing exercises to help increase your flexibility. The benefits of stretching exercises are endless; they help in injury prevention and healing, provide better muscle coordination, improved posture, enhance performance, an increased range of motion,  and overall greater mental health.
