Soften & Shine: Yoga for Every Body

With a focus on opening the hips and heart this class will allow an opportunity to open up to the power of the feminine divine for all gender identities. Take an hour to strengthen into the muscles that allow us to relax, to dig deep into the power it takes to be soft, to appreciate all that your body does for you. This is your invitation! Open to folx of all experience levels and all bodies. Classes are likely to include conversations on connectivity, mindful movement, intentional breath, modifications to meet yourself where you are, and a sense of love and compassion for self and others. Make it sweaty, make it sweet, make it yours.

Metropolitan Studios offers yoga props to borrow, but you may also bring your own:

  • Hand towel

  • Water

  • Yoga mat

  • Yoga strap

  • Two yoga blocks


Sam (she/her) has flirted with yoga since her youth. Growing up practicing both Tae Kwon Do and dance, yoga was a natural step towards finding something deeper in the movement she craved. Never happy sitting still, and constantly curious, her personal practice evolved. At the prompting of family and loved ones, Sam more thoroughly explored her practice on retreats led by Shelley Carroll to Joshua Tree and Bali, igniting afire in her to travel & practice as often as possible. The drive to learn more and more led Sam to complete her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Form Yoga under Mandy Roberts in 2023. Sam is thrilled to share her knowledge of yoga with others as she continues her journey.
