Join Metropolitan Studios and the Atlanta Pride Committee for this special screening of ‘The Celluloid Closet’.
Invite your friends, family, partners, or ride solo and enjoy a night of queer film history, people, and popcorn! Some beverages will be available for a small donation, or bring your own food and drink to make your night a picnic!
Narrated by Lilly Tomlin, The Celluloid Closet takes a thought-provoking look at the decades of omission and misrepresentation endured by the LGBTQ community in mainstream cinema. The film is based on the book by Vito Russo with historic film clips and contributions from Hollywood stars, directors, screenwriters and academics.
This event is intended for mature audiences ages eighteen and up and is not recommended for viewers under eighteen. Attendees must agree to wear masks at all times unless they are actively eating or drinking.
