Course Description
Come spread your wings in the new year! Flutter and groove in Lola LeSoleil's new feather fan movement class, Funky Flirty Fans! This 12-week course features two distinct music styles and class routines learned over two 6-six week sessions incorporating foundational fan techniques.
First, we funk! We take flight to classic funk music in a groove-centric fan dance routine to "Shining Star" by Earth Wind and Fire. Funk music is a foundational branch in the Western secular music tree, evolved from generations of African-American musical styles and experiences. It emphasizes rhythm, groove, and syncopation. Pure vibes.
Then we flirt to power pop with a punch! Bold fan choreography and storytelling to "Feather" by Sabrina Carpenter lets your magnetic (and slightly menacing) glamour fill the room.
Mid-sized feather fans are available for class use, or students may bring their personal fans of any style. All levels welcome!
Please be mindful of your attendance at all classes. Your presence is essential for perfecting the choreography and creating a show-stopping ensemble.
