Course Description

Combining their theatre and dance skills together, this course is for everyone looking to embrace their masculine side with confidence and sensuality through the art of burlesque! Mascarade Menagerie is a welcoming and inclusive space for you to explore self-expression, movement, and performance..

Whether you're a seasoned performer or a complete beginner, Mascuerade Menagerie is the perfect place to celebrate your masculinity. No matter your gender identity, body type, or performance experience, this course is for you!

Progressive students may have the opportunity to perform at the end of semester showcase. Students would be required to furnish their own costumes. 

Learning Outcomes

• One (1) choreographed routine per session to be performed at the recital

• Learn the fundamentals of burlesque performance, including movement, character development, and stage presence.

• Discover the joy of self-love and body positivity.

• Explore creative ways to express your identity through costume and performance.
