Course Description
It's time to think outside the box of the beauty queens, the parade and strip, the peel and reveal. This course is about being weird and LOVING it! We're ready to move, shake, and innovate together and embracing all aspects of what burlesque can - and should at times - say.
Students will recieve a brief history of the neoburlesque movement, and help learning what their unique voice can say outside of a traditional burlesque performance.
Talloolah's been swinging her ta-tas for over twenty years so she's seen a thing or two in burlesque! Known for thinking beyond the skin-showing aspects of burlesque, she's know to get WEIRD with it!
Not everyone is down to clown, but Talloolah's calling on everyone who is! Expect the unexpected! Prepare to be remembered! Be ready to not care what other people think. This course includes a required craft day in addition to the six-weeks of course time. The craft day date will be determined by the availability of students.
Progressive students may have the opportunity to perform at the end of semester showcase. Students would be required to furnish their own costumes.
