BASICS OF A GREAT, PAINTED BURLESQUE FACE Students need to provide the following items: * set of clean, dry makeup brushes (at least 5 brushes of various sizes) * ANY and all make up that you are using for your burlesque shows and/or photo shoots. This may include but is not limited to: - cream, longwear lipsticks - lipliner - black liquid liner - black eyeliner pencil - black waterproof mascara - full coverage foundation - full coverage concealer - blush - eyebrow pencil, brow pomade or brow pencil - eyeshadow palette - cosmetic or fine grade glitter - face primer - 1 set of dramatic false lashes - matte highlight & contour shades (cream, stick or pressed powder) - neutral or translucent setting powder - matte setting spray - standing, cosmetic mirror (TJ MAXX. sells these for under $10 if you don't already have 1 at home) Students must arrive to class with a freshly washed face that is lightly moisturized and hair pulled off face. If students want to take selfies after class, I highly recommend styling hair in an updo off the face so they can enjoy their new look for the rest of the day. Having groomed eyebrows prior to class will also help your look. Students should wear comfortable, breathable clothes like a shirt with buttons or zippers so they can change out their clothing into something else after class, if they prefer. Class will be learning how to sanitize the makeup, clean & sanitize brushes, cosmetic expiration dates, how to apply a classic burlesque look complete with glitter accents and apply false lashes. We will take before and after shots so class can see their hardwork! This class is part of the Academy Burlesque I course and is also available as an independent workshop.
You must notify Metropolitan Studios at least 3 hours before class starts, or class will be deducted from your account and considered “used” even though you were not present.
