- 1259 Metropolitan Ave SE
Saturday, 11/6/21 3:00pm-5:00pm Instructor: Ursula Undress & Zara Estelle Price: $35 This class introduces students to the basics of creating burlesque dance choreography for an audience. Students will learn how to break down a song easily, and look for moments to peel, move, fill, and WOW! - whether or not they are strong dancers. This class will also provide basic introduction to the choreographic/creative process and its relevance to other areas of performance. Students will learn to ask themselves questions and utilize their own creative processes, providing opportunities and challenges that stretch the imagination about what they can explore, say, represent, and ask through their movement choices. Students will learn approaches to notating choreographic concepts and methods for critical analysis of their own numbers. This course is for all ranges and experience levels. Bring a pen, notebook, and a number or idea you are working on. This class is part of the Academy Burlesque II course and is also available as an independent workshop.
You must notify Metropolitan Studios at least 3 hours before class starts, or class will be deducted from your account and considered “used” even though you were not present.
