About Cocoa Pearlesque: The Chocolatey Treat Good Enough to Eat Born in the “Show Me State” of St. Louis, Missouri, and now calling Chicago home, Cocoa Pearlesque is a dynamic force in the world of burlesque. Known for her mesmerizing performances and as a trailblazing producer, Cocoa has made a lasting impact in both the Chicago and Milwaukee scenes. As the first BIPOC producer in Chicago to helm a bi-monthly, ALL BIPOC Burlesque Revue Cabaret in the Milwaukee/Wisconsin area, her company, Cocoa Pearlesque Presents, has been a beacon of diversity and inclusion for over four years. Cocoa's mission is to elevate and amplify the voices of BIPOC and Queer performers, ensuring every stage reflects the rich, vibrant tapestry of our communities. Cocoa thrives on teaching, finding purpose in helping others explore their own bodies through dance. Her classes are a fun, supportive space where students can learn everything from the sultry art of lap dance to the graceful flow of silks and the excitement of improvisation.
