Class Description

Instructor: Minnie Mercury 11/7 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM $35 Stage Managers are the heartbeat of backstage magic in the burlesque world, and if you have ever wondered how all that magic happens, this is the workshop for you! This class will show you how to communicate with, manage, organize, and herd the sparkly cats (A.K.A. dancers) as a Burlesque Stage Manager. You will learn how a Stage Manager leads performers and tech positions, collaborates with producers, and partners with venues to put on a seamless and glittery stage extravaganza. We will discuss production timelines, pre-show and post-show duties, and your responsibilities for the day of the show. You will need to bring a notebook and pen/pencil for notes or if you are digitally savvy, feel free to take notes on a computer. Come prepared to learn how to tame the chaos!

Cancellation Policy

You must notify Metropolitan Studios at least 3 hours before class starts, or class will be deducted from your account and considered “used” even though you were not present.
