Siren's Call
Course Description

Explore the art of seduction through slow and sensual burlesque. Siren's Call is an all levels course, whether you're a seasoned performer or just discovering your sensuality. We'll delve into burlesque storytelling through techniques of movement, focusing on graceful gestures, poses, floorwork, slow burn, and harnessing the power of our inner darkness.

Progressive students may have the opportunity to perform at the end of semester showcase. Students would be required to furnish their own costumes.

Learning Outcomes
  • Learn one (1) choreographed routine.

  • Learn to evaluate movement skills in terms of space, time, and force, and reproduce accurately through your own body.

  • Analyze a dance performance in terms of choreography, performance, and theatrical elements.
