Course Description
Sharpen your skills and expand your choreographic vision in Choreographer's Toolbox.
In this series, you'll delve into the essential tools and techniques for choreographers. You'll learn how to translate your ideas into movement sequences for any stage.
Discover different ways to generate movement ideas, from improvisation and body exploration to utilizing music and imagery. Learn the building blocks of choreography, including structure, dynamics, spatial relationships, and repetition. Learn how to craft movement that conveys emotion, narrative, and connects with your audience.
Student Learning Outcomes
• Different techniques of developing choreographic movements, blocking, and storyline
• Various methods of teaching choreography with counts, sounds, metaphors, etc.
• Various ways to teach and translate the language of movement to your classmates
• How to convey a message or story
