Class Description

Instructors: Minnie Mercury and Roula Roulette 4/23 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM Price: $35 Do you want to know how to get hired and STAY hirable? This burlesque workshop teaches performers to recognize what makes us more professional both onstage and off, how to effectively market ourselves as a pro, and what to expect your pay rates to look like. (Yes, we will talk about money!) We will look at backstage etiquette and what producers look for in hiring (and never hiring again), how to get recognized in the scene, and what ALL professionals need in their repertoire to hand off to producers looking to hire. We will also talk about giving back to our community. Learn how to entertain and satisfy your producers and come away from gigs feeling valued! Attendees will receive a contract template for their own use. Bring a notebook and pen/pencil. This class is part of the Academy Burlesque I, II, Sultry Songbirds, Bloomtastic, & Drama Camp for the Stage courses and is also available as an independent workshop.

Cancellation Policy

You must notify Metropolitan Studios at least 3 hours before class starts, or class will be deducted from your account and considered “used” even though you were not present.
