Saturday, 10/30/21 2:30pm - 4:30pm Instructors: Roula Roulette & Ursula Undress Price: $35 Do you want to know how to get hired and STAY hireable? This is the class for you! This workshop teaches performers to recognize what makes us more professional both onstage and off, how to effectively market ourselves as a pro, and how to do a cost analysis on our own acts in order to price them appropriately for scene, fundraiser, and corporate style bookings. (Yes, we will talk about money!) We will look at backstage etiquette and what producers look for in hiring (and never hiring again), how to get recognized in the scene, and what ALL professionals need in their repertoire to hand off to producers looking to hire. We will also talk about giving back to our community and Ursula's list of "no-no's" that she has culminated over the years. Learn how to entertain and satisfy your producers, and come away from gigs feeling valued! All attendees will receive a template contract for their own use Bring: a notebook and pen/pencil. This class is part of the Academy Burlesque I course and is also available as an independent workshop.
You must notify Metropolitan Studios at least 3 hours before class starts, or class will be deducted from your account and considered “used” even though you were not present.
