SalsaLesque with Lola leSoleil 4-Week Series | June 8 – June 29 Mondays • 7:00 – 8:30 PM Tuition: $125 Production Dates (at Creatorspace): Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, August 20 Student Showcase: Sunday, August 30 Come shimmy to a different beat with Lola LeSoleil's SalsaLesque! Inspired by Havana’s iconic Tropicana cabaret and years of performing with her salsa troupe, The SalsaBelles, Lola LeSoleil will guide you on a footwork-fueled journey. Her unique class blends salsa musicality with classic burlesque styling, leaving you feeling confident and energized! Class structure includes the following: ·Intro and warm-up ·Introduce foundational rhythm patterns and salsa steps ·Create movement combinations utilizing learned salsa steps and burlesque inspired accents No experience is necessary, all levels are welcome. Footwear Options: Jazz flats, 2-3 inch strapped heels, salsa/character shoes, or feel free to dance barefoot! STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES: 1. Identify foundational folkloric rhythm patterns and dance styles comprising salsa, i.e. rhumba, son, cha cha 2. Differentiate between and perform modern salsa dance patterns combined with burlesque accents 3. Optional performance opportunity in Atlanta School of Burlesque’s Summer Sizzle Showcase.
