The Burlesque Storyteller
Class Description
Instructor: Roula Roulette Saturday, 3/28 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM Price: $35 What is storytelling, and why is it important to your Burlesque persona and acts? Burlesque itself is an art form that thrives on its ability to tell stories. These stories amuse, inspire, and entice your audiences and are the backbone of your character. Included will be a discussion on narrative vs. dramatic enactment in storytelling. Join Roula Roulette on an exploration of the theatricality of burlesque and how the audience experiences your art, and why that's an important question to ask in act creation. What to Bring: • Please bring something to take notes with • Come in movement clothes as we will explore characterization and movement. This workshop is part of our Burlesque Academy Burlesque II course and is also available as an independent workshop.
