The Atlanta School of Burlesque Announces Burlesque Academy™ Winter/Spring 2025 Semester in Atlanta
ATLANTA (January 8, 2025) – The Atlanta School of Burlesque (ASB) is Atlanta's premier burlesque school and studio owned and operated by professional burlesque performers, producers, and teachers. It has been educating students since 2013. and is part of the Metropolitan Studios lineup that includes The Candybox Revue burlesque troupe and the Kiss My Grits! Burlesque & Vaudeville Festival,
Atlanta's top choice for burlesque education, the school offers drop-in adult dance classes ranging from Burlesque Basics to technical skill classes such as Liquid Motion. Burlesque Academy™ is designed to integrate up and coming performers and producers into the broader Burlesque industry. With a Winter/Spring and a Fall semester, students progress through four semesters, with a graduation occurring with either a fully realized solo performance, or by producing a fully realized burlesque show.
Semesters are typically 12-16 weeks. Students who hope to graduate must complete Burlesque I, II, III and all requisite workshops before progressing to Burlesque IV.
In Burlesque IV students work with a performance or production mentor for an entire semester to either create their graduation performance, or produce their graduation show. Typically it takes (2-3) semesters to successfully complete the requirements to move to Burlesque IV.
