Dive Into Chair Acro

Class Description

Guest Instructor: Ava Cado Sundays: 4/28 - 5/19 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Price: $100 Take a seat! Find new ways to balance and transition around your chair. This series helps deep dive into beginner and intermediate chair acro moves with the goal of repetition so students will be able to learn, get comfortable, and be able to explore these moves. By the end of the series, students will be able to invert comfortably, be able to hold balance poses on the chair and have an understanding of how to incorporate chair acro into routines. Learning Objectives: - Understand arm balances and how they coordinate with chair acro - Understand how to incorporate chair acro moves into routines safely - Better body awareness when it comes to balancing - How to safely play with poses What to bring: - Leggings, tights, anything that will cover thighs/legs - Socks - Water - Kneepads About the teacher: Ava Cado (she/her) is an international chairlesque performer. In the two years she's been in the burlesque scene, she has performed in 7 conventions, 5 states, and 1 Burlesque festival. Sharing her knowledge is a passion and has been teaching workshops all over the East Coast. She has her 200-hour yoga certification and an aerial teaching certification. Cancellation Policy

You must notify Metropolitan Studios at least 3 hours before class starts, or class will be deducted from your account and considered “used” even though you were not present.
