Class Description

Instructor: Zara Estelle Tuesdays 7:00-8:00 PM 4 (four) week series 7/16-8/6 Dress Rehearsal: September 7 Student Showcase: September 28 Price: $125 Harlots & Starlets! Calling all glitter-kissed babes! Meet your inner harlot or starlet this summer! Are you ready to ditch the dull and embrace the dazzling? This course is your chance to explore your confidence and own your power. What awaits you in this decadent den of self-expression: • Booty-licious warm-up: Shake off your worries and shimmy into your confidence with a fun, music-driven warm-up that'll get your blood pumping and your sass flowing. • Burlesque basics with a bite: Learn classic teases, playful reveals, and glove peels with a modern twist, adding a touch of spice to your repertoire. • Channel Your Inner Siren: Discover your unique voice and stage persona through improv, character development, and a touch of theatrical flair. • Walk This Way: Master the art of the saucy strut, flirt with floor work and the chair moves that'll leave the audience gasping for air (and maybe throwing tips!). • Shake it like a Queen: Move and groove to a curated playlist of empowering anthems that'll fuel your confidence and make you wanna werk it! Harlots & Starlets is for: • Dancers of all levels looking to add sass and spice to their lives. • Individuals who want to build confidence, embrace their sexuality, and have a blast doing it. • Anyone who wants to channel their inner harlot or starlet, and leave their inhibitions at the door. This is a space to celebrate your body, your sass, and your right to express yourself, unapologetically. Share, learn, and grow alongside fellow harlots and starlets. Learning Outcomes: • Learn one (1) choreographed group routine • Receive a skill assessment. Those who meet performance criteria may be eligible to perform in a Candybox Revue mainstage show or future student showcase with an instructor. What to bring: • Dance/character shoes or strapped-toe shoes with a 2-3-inch heel. • Other acceptable footwear include jazz flats, salsa shoes or barefoot. • Water

Cancellation Policy

You must notify Metropolitan Studios at least 3 hours before class starts, or class will be deducted from your account and considered “used” even though you were not present.
